A couple of weeks ago, one of my professors taught a few of us how to make pesto. Pesto is a pasta dish with a green sauce that’s made out of basil, garlic, pine nuts, olive oil, and parmesan cheese. It’s really delicious. The best part about it is that the only cooking involved is just the boiling of the pasta itself.
It’s surprisingly easy. All you’ve got to do is to throw everything into a blender (well, not all at once – there’s an art to it), and at the end of it, you’ll get pesto.
Originally, I intended to try making it after the exams. But my mum and my brother were just as excited about it as I was, and asked me to make it as a simple meal for Good Friday.
And so, my brother specially got a blender for the occasion, and voila! Pesto!
The best part is… Now that there’s a blender in the house, I can make milkshakes whenever I want! Experimented, the next day, with making a milkshake using chocolate ice-cream and milk. Oh… It was soooo delicious!
After the exams, I’ll try to make other kinds of pasta sauce using the blender. Maybe, I’ll also try to master the art of making milkshakes. I’m so looking forward to the holidays.
